Coil Reel Accessories The Rewinding Control - Extending the functionality of Recoilers Description: The Rewinding Control is installed at the recoiler and functions as a steady closed loop. Its measuring system feeds back any misalignment of the strip to the control amplifier. The amplifier continually energizes the hydraulic control unit at the recoiler. This way, if a misalignment occurs, the recoiler receives a signal to move toward the actual strip position. The motion is powered by a hydraulic cylinder and because of the connection between recoiler control and measuring system also very accurate. Consequently, the strip is always being rewound at the very same position on the recoiler mandrel and at the end of a run turns out as a finished coil with perfectly straight sides.
